Contempt - Part 1
Contempt, Andrew Blake's latest cinematic creation, features the haunting beauty Elena Rivera, and the ethereal Faith Leon in handcuffs and thumb restraints, swinging lazily in the air, dripping wet, suspended and intimately clamped.
The film is conceptually rich, with high-class and low-class environments contrasted, along with interior and exterior "public nudity" footage. The lighting shifts suddenly between cold and warm hues, with captivity explicitly celebrated. Freedom of limbs is set against shots of rope restraint.
Contempt's languid pacing parallels female orgasm, as it attains its intense climax by editing that cross-cuts on free associations, much as the brain does when approaching orgasm.
