Shemale

Shemale - You are What You Speak

Taking back the word Shemale.

The majority of people who search for Transsexual porn do so by using the word "shemale".

If you have landed here by searching for some variation of shemale porn, shemale videos or similar terms - please keep reading.

Shemale? Did you mean Transsexual?

Whether you search for shemale porn, shemale videos, shemale pictures, shemale movies or a similar term commonly used to mean transsexual, you are perhaps unknowingly using a term that is outdated and has never been a positive or accurate name for Ts women.

The words we use to search for something often become the definition of what we are searching for.

This has happened with the word "kink". When the company became Kink.com, the word "kink" transformed from a barely linked synonym to one of the most frequent searches relating to BDSM.

Shemale, Tranny, or Transexual what's the difference?

Throughout the three years I have been the director of TsSeduction.com, I have had many members ask me what does it mean to be transsexual, trasnvestite or transgender? What makes each of these labels unique and what is appropriate for the women they watch on TsSeduction.com?

My answer is always a mix of social definition and personal experience - someone can be transsexual or transgender when they identify with and present the social gender markers of the sex they feel defines them. If you were not born female but you identify, align and present as female, then you are female. This is the same for transsexual men such as myself.

Generally speaking shemale is an offensive and outdated term. TS or Transsexual is not only less offensive it is more accurate.

While the term tranny can refer to the more correct term of TS or Transsexual, many TS's find the term tranny offensive as well.

"Do TS or Transsexual women use the label shemale?"

Shemale is mostly used outside the TS community and mainly by someone searching for Ts porn. When transexual porn debuted and people wanted to find this content on the web, the word served a purpose and now, like the words "stage coach" or "negro", "shemale" is no longer relevant. As the Transsexual community grows in the adult industry, the language we use to address the women needs to grow too. I am committed to branding all Ts content at Kink.com, using TS not Shemale. This, I hope will catch on and more people will begin to use TS or transsexual to search for their favourite porn.

It is difficult to change habits but in this case, it is necessary to evolve so we can respect and properly admire the fine women who get naked and perform for us.
