JOB OBJECTIVE:
The Construction Manager reports directly to the Director of Art and Facilities and is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operation of a Art Department shop and its crew responsible for the construction and demolition, upkeep and maintenance of all sets, scenery, props and special equipment at Kink’s Armory facility. Manage and supervise a production crew of carpenters, metal fabricators, machinists and laborers.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Manage construction crew and ensure all project deadlines for shop are met and that work performed meets company standards.
• Responsible for reviewing all project plans, blueprints and design jobs with Art Director; estimating time, material, equipment, and supplies needed for each project assigned.
• Develops work schedules and crew assignments; inspects work quality performed and evaluates performance, in addition to approving all timecards.
• Receive and process all production related tickets; assign tasks to art/facilities crew.
• Responsible for any necessary training related to work assignments; ensures work areas are properly maintained and that proper safety procedures are being practiced; completes all accident reports and alerts Human Resources.
• Building, repairs, installation, maintenance and assistance with the dismantling of all sets, scenery and related props.
• Maintenance of Production shop and all related tools and machinery.
• Overall maintenance and upkeep of Kink’s production facility; crew assignments of facilities related tasks.
• Assists Art Director with all day-to-day operations of Production shop and responsible for all management of shop and crew in Art Director’s absence.
• Coordinate with other department heads as to the scheduling of all on set construction projects and facilities related projects.
• Perform other job-related duties and work on special projects as required.

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education and Experience:

• Minimum 5 years previous experience in professional scene shop
• Minimum 5 years previous experience in practical construction techniques
• Minimum of 2-3 years of hands on management experience
• Previous metal fabrication experience required
• Previous theatrical production or film/video production shop experience
• Previous rigging experience preferred
• BA preferred or equivalent work experience
• Previous experience in Adult Entertainment work environment preferred
